From day 1 you will be joining a team of experienced engineers who will support and teach you the skills required to support BT's internal power network. This includes maintenance of power equipment such as high powered generator engines, air conditioning units and other electrical safety systems that power the telephone exchange equipment.

You'll be trained up to industry standard qualifications and certifications, alongside internal specialist training. You will also be given time to study for your NVQ & BTEC.

The power engineers role is extremely varied and no two days are the same which is both interesting and rewarding. Once you have rolled off the scheme and gained all of the necessary experience, you will become responsible for a number of exchanges in your area of the country.
